Terms of Use
Last updated August 4, 2026
The short version
Kindred Village is a private tool for keeping your own child’s record. It is not medical advice and not an official clinical record. Use it for your own family, keep your login safe, and be respectful of the therapists you invite. You own your data and can leave at any time.
1. Who can use Kindred Village
You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of the child whose record you create, or a therapist a parent has invited. By creating an account you confirm this and agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What Kindred Village is (and is not)
Kindred Village is a personal record and organizing tool for parents. It is not medical, legal, or clinical advice, not a diagnosis or treatment, and not an official medical record. Always rely on your qualified professionals for care decisions. Information in the app (including meal ideas and resources) is general and may not fit your child.
3. Your account
Keep your password private and your account secure; you are responsible for activity under it. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. Enter accurate information, and only information you have the right to share.
4. Inviting therapists
You control who joins your child’s care team and what each person can do. Invited therapists may add notes and messages for your convenience; Kindred Village is your record, not their official file. You can change a therapist’s access or retire them at any time. Please invite only people you actually work with and trust.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not use Kindred Village to:
- store records for a child who is not yours to record, or without the right to do so;
- upload content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- attempt to access another family’s data or disrupt the service;
- use the service to provide regulated clinical care as an official system of record.
6. Your data and content
You own the content you put into Kindred Village. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display it back to you and to the people you share it with, so we can run the service. You can export your data or delete your account at any time; deleting permanently removes your records, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Plans and cancellation
Some features may be offered as a paid subscription. Any pricing, trial, and billing terms will be shown to you before you subscribe. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and, if you choose to delete, permanently removes your records. Therapists you invite are always free.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Kindred Village available and reliable, but we may update, pause, or change features over time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes to these terms by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Kindred Village is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law. Keep your own copies of anything important to you; the export tool is there for exactly this.
